Virtuoso guitarist, Daniel Bolshoy joins the Bergmann Piano duo in the second installment of our Noteworthy Classical Concert Series. This classical music programme is sure to warm you up with pieces such as Invierno Porteño by Astor Piazzolla, the famous Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo and works from Vivaldi, Granados and Boccherini.

Daniel Bolshoy has performed for many prestigious festivals including, Guitar-Gems (Israel), Tabula Rasa (Russia), the Abbey Bach (United Stated), the International Music Festival in Macao, GuitarfestWest (Calgary), Halifax Guitar Festival, Music and Beyond (Ottawa), Indian River Music Festival, Guelph Spring Festival, Elora music Festival, Westben Arts Festival, Festival des arts Boré-Art, Ottawa and Vancouver International Chamber Music Festivals and many more. He has toured under the auspices of Prairie Debut, Debut Atlantic, Jeunesses Musicales du Canada and Musique Royale; and has performed for the Début Series in Montreal and Vancouver and for the CBC/NAC Début series in Ottawa. Concerts in the United States include a tour for Live on Stage and numerous appearances at music festivals and universities. Daniel Bolshoy appears on seven commercial CD recordings: Resonance, España (Boldan Music). McGillicuddy’s Rant (Centaur Classics), and as guest artist on Soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian’s Tango Notturno (CBC Records) Tenor Marc Hervieux’s A Napoli (ATMA) and with Pinchas Zukerman and members of the NAC in a special CD to benefit the homeless in Vancouver. His most recent solo CD Soñando Caminos (ATMA) is devoted to the works of Spanish composer Eduardo Sainz de la Maza. His recitals are frequently broadcast on CBC Radio, and he has also appeared in two documentary films for the Bravo! (TV) series entitled The Classical Now.
